Permission 1: Display Over Other Apps (Floating Overlay)
The floating widget allows you to monitor and control auto accept directly on top of your Ola, Uber, Rapido, or Porter screens without switching apps:
- Open Android Settings > Apps > Special App Access.
- Tap on Display Over Other Apps (or 'Appear on Top').
- Scroll down, locate AutoRide Accept Pro, and toggle the switch to Allow.
Permission 2: Enabling the Accessibility Service
The Accessibility Service is what allows the assistant to read on-screen ride cards and tap accept:
- Go to Settings > Accessibility.
- Look for Installed Apps or Downloaded Apps.
- Tap AutoRide Accept Pro and turn the toggle ON.
- A system security dialog will appear; review the terms and tap Allow / OK.
How to Fix 'Restricted Setting' on Android 13 & Android 14
Google introduced a security feature in recent Android versions that grays out accessibility for apps installed outside the Play Store. If your accessibility toggle says 'Restricted Setting', follow this easy 10-second fix:
- Go to your phone's Settings > Apps > See all apps.
- Find and tap on AutoRide Accept Pro to open App Info.
- Tap the three dots (⋮) in the top-right corner of the screen.
- Tap Allow Restricted Settings. Enter your phone PIN or fingerprint if prompted.
- Now go back to Accessibility settings; the toggle will be unlocked!
Brand-Specific Optimization (Xiaomi, Realme, Vivo & Samsung)
Each smartphone brand has custom battery killers that need to be adjusted:
- Xiaomi / Redmi / POCO (MIUI / HyperOS): Open Security App > Manage Apps > AutoRide > Turn ON Autostart. Under Battery Saver, select No Restrictions.
- Samsung (One UI): Go to Device Care > Battery > Background usage limits > Add AutoRide to Never Sleeping Apps.
- Realme / Oppo / Vivo: Enable Allow Background Activity and lock the app in the recent apps task manager.
Setup Pro Tip
Always restart your smartphone once after completing initial accessibility and battery configuration. This locks all system daemon processes into Android's core memory space.
Driver Frequently Asked Questions
Why does Android say 'Restricted Setting' when I try to enable accessibility?
This is an Android 13/14 security check for APKs installed directly from browsers. Simply go to App Info > Three Dots > Allow Restricted Settings to unlock it.
Does the Accessibility Service read my personal passwords or bank OTPs?
Never! AutoRide Accept Pro only monitors coordinates and UI elements specific to designated ride-hailing applications. It has zero access to payment or messaging apps.
Why does the floating widget disappear when I open Google Maps?
This happens if 'Display Over Other Apps' permission was revoked by a system cleaner. Re-enable overlay permission in Special App Access.
